Sinusitis vs. Sinus Infection
It usually is preceded by a cold, allergy attack, or irritation by environmental pollutants. Unlike a cold, or allergy, bacterial sinusitis requires a physician's diagnosis and treatment with an antibiotic to cure the infection and prevent future complication. |
Sinusitis is an inflammation condition in the sinus cavities. When a person has a cold or allergy, the sinus cavity walls become swollen and when bacteria get into the sinus cavities and attack the already swollen lining, greater inflammation occurs causing the cilia to not function by flushing out the bacteria and mucus, and so they become trapped and the sinusitis infection begins. Some of the symptoms of sinusitis may include postnasal drip, facial pain and pressure, cough, congestion, and green nasal discharge. The frontal sinuses are located behind the forehead and between the eyes. When the sinusitis resides in the frontal sinuses, a person may also experience a headache in the forehead and also may have tooth pain due to the inflammation pressing on the nerves.
There are many treatments for sinusitis including frontal sinusitis. One common remedy is prescribed and over the counter nasal sprays. Nasal sprays can only offer relief to the lower part of the sinuses due to the fact that they have large particle sizes that cannot make it past the inflammation at the opening of the sinus cavities and up to the infection. Another commonly prescribed remedy is oral antibiotics. Oral antibiotics work on infections by flowing through the blood stream and up to the area of infection. The sinus cavities have only a small amount of blood vessels so it is difficult for an effective amount of medication to be delivered. Also, oral antibiotics can have such side effects as loss of sense of taste and smell and some forms of birth control may become weakend.
Sinus Dynamics is the most innovative form of treatment for frontal and all other forms of sinusitis infections. Sinus Dynamics antibiotics, anti-fungals, and anti-inflammatories are used in a nebulized form, making it simple for Sinus Dynamics 3.2 micron particle sized medications to make it through the inflammation and up to where the sinusitis infection lies. Sinus Dynamics nebulized antibiotics are much more effective then the oral antibiotic remedy since they are distributed directly into the sinus cavities and therefore have a higher success rate of getting rid of the sinusitis infection. Sinus Dynamics medications are safe, have little to no side effects, and have a 98% success rate in patients making it the best choice for sinusitis treatment.
