A sinusitis infection problem occurs when bacteria attack swelling in the sinus cavity lining, normally due to a cold or allergy, causing greater inflammation.  When this inflammation occurs in the sinus cavity and its opening, bacteria and mucus cannot be washed out by way of the cilia, and the infection begins.  Sinusitis infection problems can have such symptoms as swelling, pain, congestion, and green nasal discharge.
