Common Questions
Q: How do Sinus Dynamics™ treatment options differ from other nasal allergy or sinusitis treatments?
A: Sinus Dynamics™ topically treats sinus conditions through a selection of any three of our drug delivery devices that dispense aerosolized custom compounded medications directly into the sinus regions and sinus cavities at the same time, resulting in a highly effective method for treating even the most difficult sinus conditions.
Aerosolized Therapy
Sinus Dynamics’ pharmacy provides the latest in aerosolizing technology with three types of nebulizers to choose from. Each of the state of the art nebulizers produce a particle size of 1.0 to 3.2 micron that send the aerosolized medications directly into to the hard to reach upper sinus cavities, making contact with the infection topically.
Irrigation Therapy
Medicated Irrigation is commonly prescribed to flush the nasal cavities with a saline or medicated solution. Our pharmacy offers a FREE ActiveSinus™ Saline Rinse Kit with every medicated irrigation prescription. The ActiveSinus™ brand is preservative free and includes an all natural sea salt mixture. The ActiveSinus™ Irrigator bottle eliminates the concern of harmful bacteria collecting within the bottle. The ActiveSinus™ Irrigator bottle is well designed and does not require an inner tube, unlike other brands.
Atomized Therapy
Atomized therapy uses positive pressure to propel solutions deep into the sinus cavities providing relief and treatment to the sinus area. The NasaTouch™ Portable Powered Atomizer, offered exclusively by Sinus Dynamics, has the ability to atomize 2 mls of solution deep into the sinus cavity in only 30 seconds with the capacity to hold up to 15 mls of solution. The NasaTouch™ design is unique and unlike the other brands, very sanitary due to the dedicated collection chamber within the atomizer cup that collects all the excess solution, thus preventing atomized solutions mixing with potentially contaminated overflow. Atomized Therapy medications and solutions are administered into each nasal passage; the atomized mist is mechanically delivered up into the nasal passages, depositing the solution topically deep into the sinus cavities.
The NasaTouch device can be used with physician prescribed solutions that are designed to be administered directly into the nasal passages and sinus cavities.

Preventing Sinusitis
To avoid developing sinusitis during a cold or an allergy attack, keep your sinuses clear by:
- Using an oral decongestant or a short course of nasal spray decongestant.
- Gently blow your nose and block one nostril by blowing through the other to keep nasal discharge thin.
- Avoiding air travel. If you must fly, use a nasal decongestant before take-off to prevent blockage of the sinuses allowing mucus to drain.
- Avoiding contact with substances that trigger attacks if you are prone to allergies.
- Using an air purifier or humidifier.
Consider allergy testing which may be beneficial for increasing tolerance to the allergy-causing substances, followed by appropriate allergy treatments.
Sinusitis vs. Sinus Infection
Acute bacterial sinusitis is an infection of the sinus cavities caused by bacteria.
Sinusitis is usually preceded by an allergy attack, cold or an irritation by environmental pollutants. Unlike a cold or an allergy, bacterial sinusitis requires a physician's diagnosis and treatment with an antibiotic to cure the infection and prevent future complications.
