Eating foods with jalapenos, cayenne pepper, garlic or horseradish sauce will help thin the mucus membrane, making the sinuses more susceptible to drainage. Next time you're feeling congested head down to your local Mexican food place and eat as much salsa as you can handle, it may just help clear your sinuses. 5. HEAD ELEVATION Slightly elevating your head whenever you lie down or sleep will help give the sinuses a better chance at draining especially when combined with any of these home remedies.
